Juliana Santos-Kraus, Owner/Instructor
Juliana holds a master’s degree in physical education. She is a Power Pilates certified instructor for Pilates on Mat and also a Reformer certified instructor.
In addition, Juliana is a Yoga Alliance certified teacher and personal trainer certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She is also certified in restorative yoga, pre-natal yoga, yoga therapy and is a Reiki practitioner. She has been teaching in Westchester and NYC for 15 years.
A native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Juliana taught Physical Education in one of the local schools. During her tenure there she developed her own teaching methodology. Working with mostly low-income families and a district with limited resources, she created an obstacle course using chairs, tires, pieces of wood, fabric, cardboard boxes, etc. Through this course she helped the children develop upper and lower body strength, flexibility, coordination, speed, rhythm and, most of all, self-esteem. This project was subsidized by the city government of Rio de Janeiro and lasted 11 years.
Here in the US she took the USA Gymnastics Instructor training and taught and coached children ages 3–14-years-old for 14 years. First at the YMCA in Tarrytown, then at World Cup Gymnastics in Chappaqua, and finally at the JCC in Tarrytown, where she designed programs, choreographed routines and coached her teams at local meets.
Orit Dahari, Instructor
Orit is a graduate of Columbia University and has studied at Cambridge University, England. She received her Stott Pilates mat and apparatus certification over a decade ago, and has since taught Pilates to novices and advance students alike. Her extensive studies of anatomy and Physiology give her insight to the needs of individuals.
A native of Israel, Orit took her first Pilates class with the encouragement of her voice teacher. She found that Pilates not only helped her singing, but provided her with a renewed sense of confidence and strength. Orit’s passion for mind-body awareness encompasses Eastern modalities—she is a 500 hrs. Certified Yoga teacher.
Elena Remais, Instructor
Elena is known for her attention to detail. She has been teaching yoga and Pilates for over 15 years. Additionally she is a personal trainer. Using a combination of her disciplines, she specializes in corrective exercise, precision and functional movements, balance and strength as it can relate to daily body movements. Her eagle eye can help you with postural corrections and mis-alignments to maximize your workouts and minimize your pain.
She has years of experience working at a Physical Therapy studio where she was mentored and trained in Pilates. In Yoga she holds certification from YogaWorks. Her personal training certification is from National Academy of Sports Medicine where she has 3 certifications, Personal Training, Corrective Exercise and Fitness Nutrition.
Sara Scipioni, Instructor
With more than 14 years of dance experience, Sara was drawn to Pilates following the birth of her daughter. She immediately fell in love with the philosophy and movement of classical Pilates. In the summer of 2014, she became certified in beginner and intermediate Mat through Power Pilates. Sara trained with Juliana on the reformer, and is offering private sessions through Juliana Pilates.
